Last Thursday Christian Studies Leaders engaged in a day of professional learning with the support of Australians Together. The session explored culture, identity, worldviews, spirituality from indigenous perspectives and we considered how to navigate these differing perspectives. Opportunity was then given to work with colleagues to apply the learning to the planning of a future Christian Studies unit.
The Christian Studies Curriculum Framework (CSCF) links made included:
- CC2 culture and history,
- CL1 identity and relationships,
- CW1 beliefs, ideas, thinking, actions
- CW2 spirituality.
We would like to thank Christian Studies leaders for their engagement and guest speakers Prof Wynand, Richard Cassady, Peter Bergmeier and Pastor John Heffernan as as they shared their stories and perspectives.
