Since the Zoom sessions with Kim Powell (LEVNT) and Derek Bartels (LEQ) on 18 May/2 June, leaders worked productively on progressing all ideas generated. Four common themes across all Design Thinking groups were developed from the priorities of Curriculum and Christian Studies Leaders in LESNW learning communities at the Zoom session. These were used for the Christian Studies Leaders workshop on Tuesday 8 June. For each theme, leaders had opportunity to re-group and sort the ideas into potential and actionable projects, as shown in these images:
Collectively, leaders prioritised the projects and then selected a project to work on in smaller groups. They considered potential outcomes and possibilities, and spent time investigating how other education systems locally, nationally, and globally may have experienced or solved a similar scenario. For some projects, prototyping of possible options for the testing phase then happened; some of these tests may now be happening in learning communities. Before finalising the projects and developing action plans, adjustments will be made at the next Christian Studies Leaders session in term 3 on Thursday 19th August.
IF you missed out and would like to become involved:
Please join one of two ‘catch-ups’ to hear a more detailed version of the outcomes and projects following the Zoom design thinking sessions and the CSL workshop on 8 June. Calendar invites for the 1-hour catch-up will be sent via Teams for:
Wednesday 4 August 3.30 – 4.30 pm or
Thursday 5 August 9 – 10 am.
