As part of the recent leadership summit at Navigator College, leaders shared ways they had used and or observed the capabilities related to ‘Engaging the Community’ during the past weeks to ‘create a collaborative culture’ which is the strategic focus of the college throughout 2020.
It was inspiring to hear (even though it was via Zoom) what had been emerging within the college community which relates back to the Growing deep Vocational Practices, the Capabilities and system thinking capabilities. “we listened more deeply to each other taking a compassionate stance”, “we took a big picture perspective rather than our own, we focused on the whole”, “we were all working towards the same purpose”, “we explored new ways of doing things and were open to different perspectives” “we let go of those things which we didn’t need, we stripped things back”, “ we tapped into the expertise of others”, “we moved from an individual to a collaborative approach “we demonstrated resilience and hope”, “people were gracious”, “our network expanded”, ….and more!
The leaders are planning to build on their new insights, skills, thinking, structures and learning as a platform to strengthen the ‘collaborative culture’ they are co-creating at the college.
