The staff of the three campuses of Good Shepherd Lutheran College Darwin joined together as learners to continue exploring how they can provide a learning environment which promotes active engagement, risk taking, motivation and strong learner voice in the area of mathematics and where students DON’T see themselves as ‘not good at maths’.
The mathematics working party explored Assessment for Learning and implications for their practice. All staff came together to engage as learners of mathematics and mathematics colleagues. The pedagogical leadership teams will be meeting to identify the systems and structures they need to implement, in order to support the change process and to develop a consistent approach across year levels and campuses.
