Staff at Living Waters Warnbro WA commenced Term 2 by building on their understanding of “Growing deep” at the start of the year to explore learning and teaching for the emerging future. The day started with viewing the internationally award-winning documentary “Most Likely To Succeed”.
The staff at the school debriefed core aspects of the documentary in groups making connections to practice at the school and the school’s learning principles, developed from Growing deep.
Using theory U to help support thinking about change, the staff then engaged in journaling to deepen personal thinking about their role in the change process.
After lunch the staff then worked individually, in pairs or small groups, using systems thinking to develop projects, prototypes and strategies to innovate current practice which reflects their learning principles.
A reminder to schools that LESNW office has a copy of “Most Likely to Succeed” and we welcome the opportunity to support schools to promote, screen and lead discussions with staff which will assist with learning and leading for the emerging future.
