As we hurtle towards the end of the school year, no doubt reflection on the learning occurring in your classrooms and your schools will be part of the process. It’s very important that we ensure that it’s not just our voice in the mix but also the voice of our learners and wider school community.
At LESNW we are reflecting on our current reality, examining a range of data and research into the emerging future as we identify what can we do to encourage learning for “their” (as in the learners) future not “our” past. It’s challenging but also seriously exciting! However, this is not something we can do on our own!

The future is also about more innovative partnerships. Isolation in a world of complex learning systems will seriously limit potential. Powerful learning environments are constantly creating synergies and finding new ways to enhance professional, social and cultural capital with others. They do that with families and communities, with higher education, with other schools and learning environments, and with businesses.
