“Professional conversations around deep listening” “Time and space to unpack Growing Deep and AITSL principal standard with practical applications” “Suspend judgement and listen, become aware of myself as a leader”
These are just a few responses from the participants of the Professional Growth and Development course for leaders.
In the final session the group explored the capabilities of system leaders, made connections with Growing deep and then identified their own contexts where these can be demonstrated.
The main section of the workshop involved journaling around core questions which tapped into deeper self-reflection and knowledge. The participants shared the power of this process and expressed that it was invaluable in identifying aspects of personal and professional life as well as planned actions.
The final section involved review of goals, and for some of the participants the time spent on journaling resulted in modification of goals. The importance of identifying meaningful goals, which will stretch and grow leadership, also surfaced.
Most importantly a strong, trusting, respectful culture of collaborative professionalism was very evident within the group.
