We were delighted to be able to re-connect as colleagues in the Secondary Lutheran Leaders Network session for Term 2 via Zoom on Thursday 4 June. The focus of the session was to share stories that explored Growing deep Capability; engaging the community. Being able to reflect on this capability in the space of what we all have had to do and be as leaders through COVID19; was healing and empowering for all who were involved.
A common theme throughout the story sharing was how learning communities have come back to their central mission and values at this time of global crisis. In modelling integrity, listening and understanding and building support with our students, staff and parents; the light of Christ’s love shines into the hearts and minds of those we serve.
In listening and understanding to the current realities, needs and innovation that has occurred during COVID19 in our learning communities; we look to how we can strengthen our network and build more strategic relationships. Together with LENSW, we hope to host more video conferences surrounding these needs; such as;
• Emerging timetabling philosophy and structures in contemporary learning
• How do we take the best from our learning in COVID19 and continue to innovate with technology?
• Reception to Year 12 Capabilities Progressions Project
We are also encouraging networking to occur in between regular Term Network sessions via Microsoft Teams. We encourage you to click onto Teams and if you are having troubles to contact Rod Wearn at LENSW.
We are all connected in our Lutheran Learning Communities; no matter where we serve and the COVID19 pandemic has forced us to think differently about how we can deepen these connections. We look forward to seeing you online at one or all of the video conferencing opportunities.
