One of the strategies to ensure appropriate working arrangements for teachers is the establishment of Teacher Workload Agreements (TWAs) at each learning site. The requirements are set out in Clause 49.3 of the Lutheran Schools SA Enterprise Agreement 2017, and Clause 17.1 of the Lutheran Schools (NT) Collective Enterprise Agreement.
(f) The Teacher Workload Agreement will be reviewed annually. The timing of the review will be determined by the Principal or members of the Consultative Committee. This should occur no later than the beginning of term 4 in any year to ensure schedules and timetables can be ready for the beginning of the following year.
(g/i) A copy of the reviewed and endorsed Teacher Workload Agreement for each school will be lodged with LESNW each year. ( NT schools – LESNW and IEUA-QNT)
While schools are not necessarily required to make substantial changes, some modifications will be necessary to your existing agreement to reflect term start and finishing dates for each calendar year.
Principals may seek advice from the LESNW or AIS in the development / modification of the TWA. Teachers may seek advice from an employee representative, including the IEU.
Please email a copy of your endorsed 2019 TWA to email@example.com by the end of the 2018 school year.
