Christian Studies

What is Christian Studies?

Christian Studies is a key learning area in the curriculum structure of a Lutheran learning community. It introduces students to the world of religion and spirituality and provides students with a clear understanding and appreciation of the Christian story. Christian Studies acknowledges that all people are on a lifelong journey of faith expressed in many dimensions of life.

Christian Studies assists students to reflect on their experiences of the world and on their own beliefs and spirituality. It supports students as they attempt to make sense of their rapidly changing and complex global environment. In Christian Studies, students explore what it means to be human in the 21st century and reflect on their identity as individuals.
