Leaders

Roles and Responsibilities of the Christian Studies Leader

A Christian Studies Leader (CSL) is to be appointed at each LESNW learning community, who will be the key contact person for the Christian Studies learning area. “The CSL is responsible to and reports to the Principal on all matters relating to Christian Studies” (LEA's CSCF, p.109).
The Principal and Christian Studies Leader are also supported by the regional Education Leaders to develop a vision and plan for the successful implementation of Christian Studies at the respective learning community.

The role description below provides a starting point for the development of each learning community's Christian Studies Leader's role statement. This role statement will reflect the specific context and nature of each educational site.

CSL Role Responsibilities

Christian Studies Leaders' Days

The LESNW Education Leaders provide professional learning days for Christian Studies Leaders. All Christian Studies Leaders are strongly encouraged to attend these days. Information on dates is accessible on the Events tab of this website.

Christian Studies Leaders Handbook

This Handbook provides leaders with resources for the theological and pedagogical development of Christian Studies teachers. Electronic copies are available through LEA's eLibrary.
