AGM – Sincere thanks to all of those who were able to attend our AGM last Friday and apologies to the people we know who were trying to log in but had difficulties.
It’s disappointing that we couldn’t come together for this event, but in some ways I felt a sense of appreciation from many that they didn’t have to make the trek into the office (and I certainly appreciate that many of you have some distance to travel to attend these kinds of things.)
So, I’d be keen to hear your feedback about how we might proceed into the future with these fiduciary types of meetings – whether we should continue to do them on-line or revert to how we have been doing it previously.
Strategic Intentions – It was said at the AGM that it will incumbent on all of us to work towards shaping some strategies to help us meet the goals we have adopted. Please consider these amongst your own teams as well as hubs and other groups. We will look to establish working groups as soon as possible to begin this work. Please send through your nominations to Larissa.firstname.lastname@example.org. To support these working groups we might set up a collaborative padlet that can house these strategies for everyone to contribute and see. And then our board and working groups can draw from this as we shape up a path forward towards living our mission and meeting our vision.
Clarity of process – In the coming weeks a team from LESNW will meet with members of the District Church Council in an endeavour to adopt some clear guidelines and processes for the progress of high level decision making, especially around significant borrowings and innovations. We will feed back to members how this progresses.
